![]() A little heavier than I expected, but the build quality was amazing and the weight was just a trade-off giving the materials used. The form factor was exactly what I was looking for. No slowdowns, quick boot times, and even ran SSMS without a struggle which I thought with only 8GB RAM, it might be an issue. Everything that I needed to run, ran extremely snappy. From performance standpoint, I was extremely happy. Of course, the specs aren't top of the line, but I figured you would be enough to do the basics that I needed. ![]() When I realized that the SLG2 was rocking a Core i5 and a small footprint, I thought I had found what I was looking for. Of course, thanks to smaller bezels, the overall footprint of a 13" is not too much bigger than what the 11" machines used to be, but they are still bigger than I would like. I quickly realized that ultra portable now seemed to start at 13". Something extremely small that I could travel with but still had a full size keyboard and enough horsepower to do basic work stuff (emails, Excel, SQL mostly). ![]() I was looking for something in the 11" range. I had been on the hunt for an ultra portable laptop for work which apparently is a category that doesn't really exist anymore.
